Some Ipoh roads to close tomorrow

IPOH, May 6 — All roads leading to the main gate of the Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, near here from Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Jalan Silibin, Jalan Lahat, and Jalan Hospital will be closed temporarily and diverted from tonight until tomorrow in conjunction with the Perak State Assembly sitting.

Ipoh OCPD, ACP Azisman Alias said motorists were advised to use alternative roads to avoid congestion during the seven-day State Assembly sitting.

The roads would be closed beginning 9 pm tonight until the conclusion of the sitting, he said here today.

He said the traffic branch of the Ipoh District Police Headquarters had decided to close 13 areas and road diversions during the official opening of the State Assembly sitting.

The roads to be closed and diverted are Jalan Lim Bo Seng Junction, Jalan Horley, Simpang Jalan S.P Seenivasagam, Jalan Kompleks Islam, Simpang Jalan Istana, Simpang Masuk Medan Istana, the slip road from the Land Office building, Jalan Kuala Kangsar slip road, Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab Junction and the slip road from Taman Idris. — Reuters
