KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 -- Sirim Bhd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ACT Technology (Asia) Sdn Bhd to offer research and testing services for automotive producers in Malaysia and South East Asia.
In a statement here Friday, Sirim said both parties would be working together in the research of automotive, design of components and testing.
"Sirim will be exposed to the latest vehicle and component testing technologies covering noise, vibration and harshness, durability and strength," its president and chief executive Ir Yahaya Ahmad said.
He said Sirim will offer design engineering services and homologation testing for automotive parts and components through the newly established automotive component centre.
ACT Technology is the local branch for ACT Co. Ltd. which has its headquarters in South Korea. It offers various engineering services to the main automotive producers and the general manufacturing industries of Asia.
